A Chat with Erotic Romance and Paranormal Author - Debi Wilder

Tonya and I are visiting with Debi Wilder in beautiful Kettle Moraine Forest, Wisconsin. The scenery is absolutely enchanting. We can see where Debi gets her stories for her wolf clan.

Debi is going to share why she loves to write and a little bit about Blue Moon Magic Series which is four stories by four authors available in eBooks, and coming soon the long awaited entire collection in print!

Naughty Reader’s: Hi Debi! Thank you for inviting us to your part of the world. Tell us a bit about yourself  that our readers might not know.

Debi: I live a pretty quiet life. I’m married, have 2 grand-daughters, 1 son and 3 step-children, a dog and a horse. I love writing erotica and bringing my worlds to life, although sometimes the characters get a bit shy with telling me their story—even in the midst of a story.

Naughty Reader’s: What made you want to become a writer?

Debi: I’m really not sure as I took creative writing in high school, wrote poetry, etc. I would have to credit a friend’s sister for the push though when she became published in the 1980s.

Naughty Reader’s: Please share a bit about your new release Blue Moon Magic without giving away any spoilers.

Debi: I’m really excited about the print version of Blue Moon Magic series. It is a series I wrote with three other wonderful erotic authors that, up until now, have only been available in ebook versions as individual books. Now we’re able to bring the Elite wolfpack to our fans who love the feel of turning the pages with their fingers and the smell of ink.

BLUE MOON MAGIC
One father.
Two mothers.
Four siblings.
One incredible story about that special night which changes them all. Forever.

It had been over a hundred years since a red she-wolf lived to take her rightful place in the clan. A red haired princess brought the promise of a new day; a day when the beast men clan could come out of hiding and further their kind with human mates. It was a time when caution would be thrown to the full moon, with only the strong surviving.

A human mate wouldn’t be enough to satisfy Justin, and he knew it. He’d been born for this time, to take the lead of the clan and guide the young wolves in the hunt for their mates during the ancient mating ceremony. Their mating would last more than a human lifetime for the wolfen clan and the humans they took as their lifemates.
As the eldest of the Blue Moon Sisters, Chastity had been promised to him as she made her way from her mother’s womb into the world. A world where a wolfen society survived among humans; living for the season of the Blue Moon. The rite of passage would soon take place and Justin would claim his lifemate, just as his ancestor had done before him. The question remaining…would he live through it this time around?

Naughty Reader’s: The print cover is awesome. Congratulations! Do you write under a pen name? (Tonya sneaks off into the woods looking for Justin)

Debi: uumm....she might not be back ya know....I also write all other genres as Maxine Douglas.

Naughty Reader’s: Tonya, you be careful! And no taking a mate while you're roaming! What types of hero or heroine do you like best?

Debi: I’d like to think my heros/heroines are strong, yet vulnerable.

Naughty Reader’s: Tell us about a typical day in your life as a writer.

Debi: Right now I have my 4.5 year old grand-daughter four days a week, so my writing comes when she’s not here. When my husband is home (he’s a truck driver), I dedicate my time to him unless I’m under editorial deadlines. I’m a muse writer, which means I generally don’t set aside a certain amount of time and compose a certain amount of words each day—I let my characters direct me in their world.

Naughty Reader’s: Do your books have a common theme or are they all different?

Debi: I’d like to think they are different, although I believe lately they’ve had a paranormal touch to them.

Naughty Reader’s: How long does it take you to write and then edit a story?

Debi: LOL…it can take me months, sometimes longer, to complete a book; it all depends on the story, what the characters are giving me, and my muse.

Naughty Reader’s: Do you have to be alone to write?

Debi: No, I like to have noise around me; noise/people that I know won’t demand my attention.....did you hear that howl? It sounded female to me.

Naughty Reader’s: How do you go about naming characters?

Debi: I would have to say that the characters name themselves.

Naughty Reader’s: Is it easier to write about the characters if you find pictures of them before you write or do you write then find character pictures?

Debi: Sometimes, mostly I get an idea of what they look like, make note of their looks, and them maybe find a picture that resembles them.

Naughty Reader’s: How do you pick locations for your stories?

Debi: That’s a tough question. I would have to say there’s no rhyme or reason for locations.

Naughty Reader’s: Debi, this has been a wonderful visit! Thank you. Reader's enjoy the book trailer and follow Debi on her blog and Facebook for updates on her book; the links are listed below.

Debi: There's Tonya! Did you find Justin? And was that YOU howling? LOL Thank you Brenda and Tonya for visiting with me!

Tonya:  I wouldn't howl like that! *snicker* He's pretty shy in the daytime so I might have to come back here after dark to roam around some! Thanks for chatting with us!

Debi's BIO:
I love the freedom that writing erotica brings. There’s a no holds barred attitude that suits me when my imagination and characters take over and run wild on the pages. And like my characters, I believe romance and sex go hand in hand.

I live a quiet life among the pyramids of Rock Lake with my husband in southeast Wisconsin…not far from the Beast of Bray Road legend.

Author of adult-themed romances in the contemporary, paranormal, shape-shifting genres. Highly sensual in nature.

Stories that warm your heart and heat up your nights.

Debi, this interview was fun to create. Your neck of the woods sure is pretty. What a great area to live in and write. You'll have to let us know the print release date so we can do a shout out on Steve and my blog! Laters everyone, ~Brenda

  3. Hi Lynn,

Thanks! Brenda and Tonya are just as excited as we are to have this finally available in print!

Finally peeked out from under the databases I'm working on to say "Hello" to everyone.

I hope Justin and the girls haven't been chasing everyone around ... they do love rolling in the grass.

  5. Thanks for getting the ball rolling, Debi. I'm Shari Dare and the author of the third story, NEVER IN A BLUE MOON. I mean, what's a girl to do when her werewolf sisters finally go in heat in their 30's. Like what's the big deal, Clarity has been sexually active since she was 18. The sex is great, but the Blue Moon stuff is mind boggling, especially since she's the psychic in the family. Of course, that's before she meets her true mate and has to fight heaven, earth and the werewolves trying to keep them apart to be with him.

  7. Another Blue Moon Magic author has stopped by! Hi Shari! *waving*
Guess the readers are in the woods with Tonya looking for Justin. Don't be shy, ask Debbie a question or just say hi. But let her know you did stop by.
I hear some howling and it's getting dark. *wonders if Tonya is lost or in a cave with a good looking he-wolf*
