More about the Author:
Jennifer O'Donnell's writing is intended for couples; it is meant to be an inspiration for them to expand and enhance their relationship, especially the sexual aspects of their time together. Jenn emphasizes the sacred nature of the marriage bond, even as she encourages the couple to explore whether or not they are broad minded and adventurous enough to bring a third party or new experience to the marriage bed. Her obvious goal is to encourage each of the individual partners to express his or her wants, needs and desires to the other in an effort to make their intimacy even more meaningful and, should that expression lead to the couple's experimenting with a new twist or a different turn, then more power to her and to them. Jenn takes real life situations and spins them into a gossimer web that shows their golden nature and tempts the edges of convention of an individual partnership in a most provocative manner.

Naughty
Reader’s: Tell us a bit about yourself
that our readers might not know.
Jennifer: My
name is Jennifer O'Donnell and we live down in South
Florida. I've become a beach girl and love Florida summers. We enjoy the beach, boating
with fiends, golf, tennis, and just about any beach activity. My blog is at http://jeninflorida.wordpress.com/,
and my twitter name is @JenEroticaFl and my email address is Jeninflorida_2006@yahoo.com
Please feel free to contact me!
Naughty Reader’s: What made you want to become a writer?
Jennifer: We
were floating in the Gulf of Mexico on our
boat and was a little bored lying out in the sun so a friend gave me a
paperback book. She had just finished reading Jackie Collins’ book (can't
remember the title). Anyway, every time the story became interesting the
chapter ended. I wanted more....no I needed more!
Naughty
Reader’s: Please share a bit about your new release without
giving away any spoilers.
Jennifer: My
next project is called Tempted and it’s about a wife's struggle with her
sexuality. Of course her husband has been asking for a threesome for some time
and with a birthday approaching the idea starts to grow on her. After all, she
isn't becoming any younger and might was well explore some of her fantasies
before she's too old! While on a business trip to New York she take control of the situation
and finds a female masseur to help her lose her reservations and explore and
help her get her 'girl' on. Course we have a mix of emotions and she still isn't
sure she wants to share that side of herself with her husband.....
Naughty Reader’s: Readers, look for the release of Tempted around March 1st! Do you write under a pen name?
Jennifer:
Not yet but coming soon! I'm afraid that I will need a pen name to publish my
non erotica. People tend to type cast and I will want to attract new readers.
Naughty Reader’s: What types of hero or heroine do you like best?
Naughty Reader’s: What types of hero or heroine do you like best?
Jennifer:
She needs to be strong, smart, knows what she wants, but more importantly how
to get what she needs/wants. She's confident in her skin and likes her body.
Course, since this is fiction she has the time to squeeze time in at the gym
and eats right. I'm working on three full length books that are less erotic and
pack with plot and drama. One is a software genus, another she's a detective
like the TV show Castle, and the other is a Vampire.
Naughty
Reader’s: Tell us about a typical day in your life as a writer.
Jennifer:
Wish that reality was sexy but currently my life isn't that sexy. Now, don't
get me wrong we enjoy our time on the water and beach and some of our friends
are more fun than others...and some less modest than others. It’s a nice
balance! We've been very fortunate in our careers and I'm spending less time
with clients and more time with my laptop writing. When my day is devoted to
writing, well I start work around eight and most of the time work till 2 or 3
in the morning. I'm a night owl and do my best work when the house is quiet.
Naughty
Reader’s: Do your books have a common theme or are they all different?
Jennifer:
I'm kind of new to publishing and only have a couple of books on the market. My
interest ranges from erotica, romance, high tech, thrillers, vampire and
zombies. My goal is to get my sales for erotica going and then introduce
fiction outside of the erotica world.
Naughty Reader’s: How
long does it take you to write and then edit a story?
Jennifer:
Writing and my production varies. Some nights I can crank out 20,000 words and
some nights I struggle creating 200. When there are negative people staying
with us, my production takes a real dive. I hate, hate, hate negative people
but sadly it’s my in-laws that are super negative and super users.
Editing is a
skill that I'm working on. The biggest challenge when it comes to my writing is
tense. I tend to jump back and forth.
For me,
writing is a lot like the movies. Meaning, that I see the characters in my mind
acting and from this visualization I work the story out. My current works are a
little over the top but lets take a look at the world. We went though something
honorable in 2008 and the economy is still suffering. People are stressed and
some times its fun to write a novella that is naughty. It’s a release from the
day to day grind and I do my best to give readers a mental vacation.
Naughty Reader’s: Do you have to be alone to write?
Naughty Reader’s: Do you have to be alone to write?
Jennifer: Not necessary so. I love to bounce ideas of
others and work out a chapter with a friend. It’s only been in the past three
months that I've...well come out of the “closet” with my close friends about my
writing. No mater what the book is about, when you write sexy chapters, people
will look at you differently and I want to control who knows.
Naughty Reader’s: How do you go about naming characters?
Naughty Reader’s: How do you go about naming characters?
Jennifer:
When I start a new project the first thing I do is jot down the plot or basic
idea of the story. Then start to think about characters and who does what or
whom. I found a couple great web sites that help me name characters after I
plug in details about there fictional people.
Naughty
Reader’s: Is it easier to write about the characters if you find pictures of
them before you write or do you write then find character pictures?
Jennifer: Pictures!
Some times thought the pictures are in my mind. Also, every story is played in
my mind like a movie and I'm the ultimate director as I can change things
around then go back and edit the changes in word.
Naughty Reader’s: How do you pick locations for your stories?
Naughty Reader’s: How do you pick locations for your stories?
Jennifer: First,
by places we have been. Thank fully we've traveled to all the lower 48, the
Caribbean, parts of Central America, Europe,
and several Asian counties. My vampire fiction, well the location was selected
after using Google.
Naughty
Reader’s: What are you working on now and what should readers be looking
forward to from you in the future?
Jennifer:
I'm really excited about these murder mystery books (two) that I'm working on.
In addition to that a friend of mine is hooked on menage cowboy books. Since I
have no idea about that lifestyle I've added my spin to things. My cowboy book
takes place in 2006 and in Northern Wisconsin
as she relies on her cowboys both in the field and her bed.
Naughty
Reader’s: Jennifer, thank you for visiting with us this week. Where can readers find out more about you and your books?
Jennifer: Readers can find me on the following sites below. And good luck everyone in the drawing for my free eBook. Drawing to be held Sunday, March 3rd.
