Savannah Chase
Satisfy Your Desire..Indulge The Temptation

Naughty Reader’s: Hi Savannah! Thanks for inviting us to this quaint little bakery. Now that we've orderd please tell us a bit about yourself  that our readers might not know.

Savannah: So here is my little bio for those of you who don’t know me…
Savannah writes erotica, and she writes romance. Whether you want sweaty sex or sweet romance, she’s written just the thing for you.
Savannah Chase started putting pen to paper as a young schoolgirl. Music inspired her to write lyrics, which eventually turned into stories. Her stories have gotten better, longer and so much more erotic as the years passed. She’s a hopeless romantic who believes that everyone has a soul mate. Savannah is a member of the Romance Writers of America, Toronto Romance Writers, and Erotic Authors Association. She’s currently published with multiple houses, and has won numerous awards for her books. Her current residence is in Canada.
As for something that readers might now know about me…Hmm..Well I have revealed so much throughout the years. One thing is I have a bucket list of all the things I would love to do in this lifetime. One of the things on my list is to travel the globe.

Naughty Reader’s: What made you want to become a writer?

Savannah: I’ve always loved to write. This was the form of expression that I found the easiest. I could tell the world how I felt by writing stories, poems and such. I just always had a passion for words.
Naughty Reader’s: Please share a bit about your new release Taste of Passion without giving away any spoilers.

Savannah: Taste of Passion isn’t out yet but will be coming out December 3, 2012 from Rebel Ink Press. It is a re release of a previously released novella. It’s been reworked, reedited and tons of hot storyline and heat has been added on.

Bakery owner Valentine Benington’s day just went from the best of her life to the worst. Toronto Tribune reviewer, David Fraser, shows up for a review just after a fire comes close to destroying her kitchen. After David’s last assignment, which ended with food poisoning, it’s not the best of starts, especially since the job is a last-minute thing. He doesn’t expect to run into a woman from his past. First looks can be deceiving. The food isn’t the only thing on the menu he’d like to taste. When these two get baking, the flames from the oven aren’t the only thing setting the kitchen on fire.

Naughty Reader’s: Wow, hot cover...tssss. What types of hero or heroine do you like best?

Savannah: I love heroes and heroines that are real. Someone you can fall in love with and relate to. They are strong but at the same time there is a fragile aspect to them. Something that shows you that they are not perfect.

Naughty Reader’s: Tell us about a typical day in your life as a writer.

Savannah: My days are pretty simple. Work, run errands and write when I get home. I also do a lot of research outings so that keeps me going. I tend to also write a lot in the middle of the night. My muse seems to kick in at the times when I want to sleep.

Naughty Reader’s: Do your books have a common theme or are they all different?

Savannah: I think the only thing that connects my books is the fact that they are erotic romance, but other than that they are all very different. I love all genres and get inspired to write anything and everything. I’ve recently even started to write erotic horror.

Naughty Reader’s: How long does it take you to write and then edit a story?

Savannah: It all depends on the book. I’ve had times where the story came to me and flowed through my fingers onto the computer so quickly I was done a first draft within a week. I’ve also had books that have taken me two years to work on.

Naughty Reader’s: Do you have to be alone to write?

Savannah: Nope. I can write anywhere as long as I have my music with me I can tune out the world and get lost in my story that I’m working on.

Naughty Reader’s: How do you go about naming characters?

Savannah: Weirdly names are the first thing that comes to me and then the story unfolds. With the ones where the names come later they seem to name themselves. The name just comes to me. In between books I also get names that randomly pop into my head and I write them down for future use.

Naughty Reader’s: Is it easier to write about the characters if you find pictures of them before you write or do you write then find character pictures?

Savannah: It has been rare that I have started to write a character and had a photo of them. For me it is usually write them and then try to find the picture to match what I picture in my head. I think having a photo does make it more real and fun because you have a reference to look at.

Naughty Reader’s: How do you pick locations for your stories?

Savannah: Lately I’ve been keeping my locations here in Toronto. I know a lot of books are set in the U.S but I want to show a bit more love to Canada since I live here. I think with other locations the story seems to just take me there. I see the plot like a little mini movie and the location seems to reveal itself that way.

Naughty Reader’s: What are you working on now and what should readers be looking forward to from you in the future?

Savannah: Currently I’m working on many projects but the main one I’m focusing on is a series inspired by a mixed martial arts fighter by the name of Alex Ricci. He's truly one amazing guy who is devoted and very passionate about being a fighter.

In the last week my project was announced to the world in a press release that readers can check out here on yahoo news.
I’m also working on a series where I will be selecting real life couples who will inspire the hero and heroine in the stories I write for it. This will be done next month at a very special event called Fantasies which will be hosted by Hollie Blue.com (http://hollieblue.com)

  3. Insightful interview... congrats on your new book, Savannah. For a hopeless romantic, I read surprisingly little romance; I am intrigued at your take on erotic horror, however. Would be very interested in reading some. :)

I've never been to a Canadian bakery, but the ones here in America... I've seen some lovely sconces on the walls, but they serve coffee and scones to the public. ;-)

    1. Veronica, thank you for taking the time to stop over. I love to read romance. It is my number one choice. It is a little different to do erotic horror but so far I'm enjoying it. There are a lot of wonderful places here to visit that have such yummy treats.

    1. Julie, thank you so much for stopping on by. I like the description of the heroes you like. Great qualities. Right now my book is only on the Kobo site when it comes to the Canadian market. The rest of the vendors are American. From my understanding, it has to do with copyright.
