Readers, Anita is featuring a giveaway! Details below the interview.

Naughty Reader’s: Anita, welcome to our blog! Tell us a bit about yourself  that our readers might not know.

Anita: I'm pretty new to writing, so there's quite a bit readers might not know about me. So, for starters, I love 70s rock, and used to wish my dad was Ian Gillan. I'd like to own a PT Cruiser or Chrysler 300. I have no pets, and I live with my cover artist, Mr. Wild.

Naughty Reader’s: What made you want to become a writer?

Anita: Words are always floating around my head. I've always kept a diary, and I'm most comfortable with a keyboard or pen at my fingertips. I can't say what exactly made me want to become a writer, but it just felt natural.

Naughty Reader’s: Do you write under a pen name?

Anita: Yes, I write under a few. But I'm being purposely vague. *grins*

Naughty Reader’s: What type of hero or heroine do you like best?

Anita: I like strong heroes and heroines who've experienced life. They often clash with each other, which ups the chemistry. Many of my characters tend to be musicians, wanderers, strippers--people who've got stories to tell. I also like the misfit or the lovable joker.

Naughty Reader’s: How many plots do you include in one of your books?

Anita: I'm concentrating on short stories right now, so not too many. It depends on how the story develops usually.

Naughty Reader’s: Tell us about a typical day in your life as a writer.

Anita: I start my day with emails, and then I take a look at the latest cover I've gotten Mr. Wild to create for me. That helps get my writing gears rolling on a new short story in one of my series.

Naughty Reader’s: Do your books have a common theme or are they all different?

Anita: Currently, I'm writing themed short stories in two series. One is called Rock 'N' Roll Step Dads, which features step daughters hooking up with their step dads, who just happen to play in various rock and metal bands. My other series is Oh! Brother, which focuses on a puckish mechanic / stripper named Shamus. He also moonlights at a sex club, and his librarian step sister discovers his secret side job. Subsequently, they get together, drive each other insane, and have loads of sex.

Naughty Reader’s: How long does it take you to write and then edit a story?

Anita: Most stories take anywhere from 1 to 3 days to write, depending on how busy I am that week with my day job. Editing, formatting, and publishing take less than a day. Mr. Wild creates a cover in a couple hours.

Naughty Reader’s: Do you have to be alone to write?

Anita: Definitely. Sometimes Mr. Wild comes into my office too much, and I have to shoo him away.

Naughty Reader’s: How do you go about naming characters?

Anita: Honestly, I like to be spontaneous about it. I don't put a ton of thought into it. I'll google names to be sure I'm being accurate (for instance, Shamus in Oh! Brother is of Irish ancestry). But other than that, I go with whatever comes to me and rolls off the tongue nicely.

Naughty Reader’s: Is it easier to write about the characters if you find pictures of them before you write or do you write then find character pictures?

Anita: I don't usually find pics for my characters, but I do 'cast' the stories in my head before I start writing. So, yes, I have specific faces and such in mind.

Naughty Reader’s: How do you pick locations for your stories?

Anita: I like to keep my locations somewhat general. It could be any city, any suburb. That sort of thing. I like to leave the location up to the reader's imagination.

Naughty Reader's: Really in awe here how you pitch a story out in three days and publish within one. Anita may we borrow you clone to help us out??  LOL Thank you so much for visiting us!

Rock 'n' Roll Step Dads: School of Sex, Blurb:

With a sigh, he joined her. "I'm quitting Devoid."

She was in the middle of rolling a fat spliff, but the news stopped her. "You're kidding…I hope."

His brilliant blue eyes deepened with obvious weariness. "No, I'm serious. I need a break, Ronnie. I've been doing a lot of session work lately, and it's nice. Cash without the notoriety. Just straight up music. No flash and image."

The use of his old nickname for her made her weak in the gut. She softened, and she wondered if he used it on purpose to buffer her reaction. "But, damn, you've been with those guys for 25 years, Ricky."

She lit up, took a deep drag, and passed the quality ganja his way. He smiled and took a toke, and she was glad to see some of his usual good humor return.
"I know," he said. "But we all need time away from each other."

They talked about his departure from Devoid some more, finishing off a second spliff, and Rhonda relaxed. He told her he'd be in town all weekend, and she decided it was time to really open up and enact her plan.

"You know…I had the biggest crush on you as a kid. You're the reason I aspired to the rock star lifestyle in high school."

He stared at her from across the bed, his eyes slightly glazed and red from the green goodness. His charming, wide smile flashed. "Well, I'm flattered. But I was never much of a rock star."

"Can I confess something?" she whispered, and her mouth felt so dry. "I still want you." She held her breath and avoided his gaze, until she felt callused fingertips brush her chin.

"Ronnie…" he said, and she couldn't read the intent behind the word. Was he rejecting her? "Are you sure?"

She gazed into those glittering blue eyes and forgot to breathe once more. Rhonda licked her lips. "Yes."

His hand moved behind her head and cupped it. She leaned into his palm.
"I'm twenty-five years older than you," he said.

In frustration, she reached down and yanked his belt loose. "Do you think I care?" The THC had boosted her courage just enough.

"Apparently not," he said, as he pushed her to the bed, while she slid his jeans off his hips.

Braced on his knuckles, he hovered over her and stared. "You know, when I came to visit you in college, last year… You tried to seduce me then, didn't you?"

She blushed and thought about closing her eyes. "Yeah…but I passed out. Learned my lesson about smoking up and downing a bottle of Jack at the same time."
He chuckled at this, but there was no malice in the laughter. Ricky gently squeezed her hips with his knees and then lowered his face until their noses were inches apart. "I think you bluffed about your experience that night, too. How many partners have you really had, Ronnie?"
